That course let you discover the first non-integers numbers, the rational numbers as they are represented by fractions..
These are the numbers we use to estimate the exact result of the division between any two integers, for instance to evaluate the result of a proportianality problem.
By the end of that course, you will be able to compare two fractions, and to play with equivalent fractions.
You will also be ready for the rest of our series about Practical Mathematics, the math that are taught from a practical point of view, based on Python coding sessions, and bringing you from arithmetics and number theory up to Calculus.
To enter that course, it is recommended to have followed the “Natural Integers MasterClass” and the “Signed Integers MasterClass”..
There are two main sections, one with the discovery of fractions, beginning with the problem of dividing integers, and the second one that give you the key of comparing fractions, these corresponding possibly to the same number.
And, last but not least, you will become the owner of a downloadable recapitulative documents, with the knowledge given by the videos fixed as rigorously proven theorems.

Fabienne holds the “Agrégation de Mathématiques“ , the French Highest Degree to teach math in Secondary Schools.
After a career of 26 years as a R&D engineer in applied mathematics, she founded Mathedu (Re-engineering Mathematics) with her husband and collaborator François, to teach mathematics from a practical point of view, based on Python coding.
She is both an expert in teaching math and a passionated woman and will help you to experiment the joy of increasing your mastery in mathematics.
